Teach Library Skills 2 taught by Jill Manzoni shows students the easy way to remember the classes and categories of the library system, so you can navigate any library like a pro. Students will practice alphabetical and numerical ordering as they explore deeper into Spine Labels, Call Numbers, the Classifications-Fiction, History, Zoology, Health and others. They will learn to classify by using names with and without numbers.The course also covers counting down from categories into the sub-categories and takes a further look into History, Math and Science and other Classifications.
Students will be assigned lessons to read, and links to visit along with assignments. There will be class polls, a survey, a quiz, and a final test. Each lesson read, quiz taken and final test have a defined value ranging from 5-50 points each. These points will be accumulated throughout the duration of the course, and the final score will be the resulting total. Earn a certificate (both hard copy and electronic) upon successful completion (additional charges apply).  Course Description This course teaches you how to navigate the library easily, and with confidence. You will learn the system of shelving, book classifications, and all the other important components to library efficiency. We will go into depth on subjects like History, Science, Health, Math, Zoology and much more. In addition to the many learning skills in the course, with your enrollment, you will receive a free copy of our beginners course Learn How to Teach Library Skills. Remember, if you are a student age 13 or under, an adult must enroll you. This class will meet all the education requirements and eduation standards of the elementary student.

Once you have submitted your lessons and assignments, and taken the polls and surveys, you will receive your Certificate of Attendance. After each lesson, post your “newly found learning’s” in the forums and we will issue you an extra Certificate of Class Participation. Achieve a 95% or better on your tests, and you will receive a Certificate of Academic Excellence. If we feel that you have shown extra initiative, we will also issue a Certificate of Merit. We will supply you with a letter of reference, upon request. Certificates may be awarded by the instructor at his/her own discretion and are based on student merit.
